Welcome to the Private Schools Tech Group web site. Most private schools, churches, and nonprofits have some stuggles in the area of technology and, at the same time, have some success stories. This web site exists to tell those success stories and to help with the struggles.

As we develop the web site, many opportunities will be added for us to share. We will be seeking help with software and hardware reviews and helpful hints that have worked well for your organization. While the beginnings of the Private Schools Tech Group lie in Fort Worth, Texas, we want the web site to allow private schools, churches, and nonprofits over America (and even around the world) to share as if we were all next door to one another. After all, we are all one big family sharing many common interests.

We will be looking to you for filling this web site with good information. Each of you has at least one success story in the area of technology which you need to share with others to encourage and help them. Your one solution may just be the one that another is seeking.

As you use this web site, please remember two very important things. First, we do not believe that technology is an end to itself but is simply one of the means to the end of educating the students. In fact, technology best functions when it is "invisible" in its use. Second, we will not deal negatively with any company, school, church, person, or product. Each of us have plenty of negatives in our work. This web site is designed to promote the positives and encourage the participants.

We have a team of experts ready to assist schools with technology needs. We offer online and onsite training classes, troubleshooting, help with your web site, and help with online classes. We specialize in training and assisting with RenWeb School Management software in schools and web sites in schools, churches, and nonprofits.

We have started a Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/pstechgroup so that we may better communicate with each other. Just set up an account in Facebook and then request to "like" the page. You will be able to post information and share photos and ideas with others in the group.

You can also follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/pstechgroup. If you will set up a Twitter account and choose to "follow" pstechgroup, then you can have the messages show up on your phone. If you choose not to set up an account, you can still see the messages by going to the site but cannot reply or add any messages. It would great to have many private schools "tweeting" with each other about technology.
